The New York Giants acquired Darren Waller from the Las Vegas Raiders on Tuesday in a trade that has Giants fans ecstatic as the team was in dire need of weapons for QB Daniel Jones.
As it turns out, there was at least one Giants fan that wasn’t thrilled about the trade.
The Athletic’s Tim Graham said he received a direct message from Giants TE Daniel Bellinger’s father, who was upset that Graham wrote that Darren Waller is “much better than his son.”
Graham went on to post a screen grab of the DMs he received:
Frank Bollinger told Graham, “Daniel was a rookie lastseason. How does Wallers stats match up to Daniels his first 3 years combined. Do some research man.” Graham responded by telling Frank, “I didn’t say your son was bad. I said Waller was better. If you want to whine about that, then I suggest you call [Giants GM] Joe Schoen.”
The Giants selected Daniel Bellinger in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He had 30 receptions for 208 yards and two touchdowns.
