Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts remains in concussion protocol as his team prepares for Sunday’s NFC Wild Card Game against the Green Bay Packers.
Nick Sirianni met with reporters on Monday and revealed that Hurts is still in the protocol following the concussion he suffered during the Eagles’ Week 16 game against the Washington Commanders.
Kenny Pickett filled in for Hurts in Week 16 and part of Week 17. Tanner McKee stepped in after Pickett took a nasty shot to the ribs in Week 17, then made his very first NFL start against the New York Giants in Week 18.
However, according to NBC Philadelphia, it seems like there’s little concern that Hurts will miss Sunday’s game, reporting Hurts will practice on Wednesday and is expected to clear the protocol by Thursday.
Sunday’s game will be a rematch of Week 1’s Eagles-Packers game in Brazil. Both teams are a lot different. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
