Drowning is the leading cause of death for children between the age of 1-4 in the United States, and tragically, Shaquil Barrett’s daughter has become part of that statistic.
Shaquil Barrett’s 2-year-old daughter, Arrayah, drowned in the swimming pool Sunday morning at the Barrett family residence in Tampa.
Arrayah was transported to a local hospital after officers responded to Barrett’s home around 9:30 Sunday morning. Medics could not revive her, and she was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Buccaneers released the following statement on the matter.
