REPORT: The New York Jets Are ‘Bracing’ To Be Chosen For HBO’s Hard Knocks

Despite their best efforts to avoid the spotlight, it seems like the New York Jets just won’t be able to.

Already slated for six prime-time games, the New York Jets are now ‘bracing’ to be selected to be featured on HBO’s “Hard Knocks” this summer according to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio.

REPORT: The New York #Jets are bracing for the preseason Hard Knocks assignment, despite making known publicly and privately. their lack of interest in serving as the focal point of this year’s show, per @ProFootballTalk.

The Jets publicly said they don't want to be assigned but it doesn't appear to matter, they can't decline once selected.

The New York Jets are one of four teams that are eligible to be on this year’s Hard Knocks and if chosen, could not decline the option. The others are the Chicago Bears, Washington Commanders and New Orleans Saints. With all due respect to those teams, they clearly aren’t as box office as the New York Jets, given the offseason they just had.
