The Jacksonville Jaguars dropped some serious coin on their new $120 million practice facility. Their investment into sports science extends into their bathrooms.
NFL RedZone host Scott Hanson was a guest at the new facility and while taking a bathroom break, he provided everyone a sneak peak at the urinals at the Jags’ team complex.
Hanson credited the Jags with having “the most advanced urinals in all of professional sports” while detailing motion sensors that detects the person using it’s hydration level.
“If the light turns green when you go, you’re good,” Hanson explained. “If it’s yellow, you need to hydrate some more. If it’s red, you’re probably going to get a notice from the athletic trainers. Maybe get an IV.”
The Jags new facility — Miller Electric Center — opened last month with owner Shad Khan calling the 125,000-square-foot facility the “gold standard for a long time to come.”
“Jacksonville is rising,” Khan said during the complex’s grand opening. “Our football team has great promise, and downtown Jacksonville is beginning to fulfill its potential. The Miller Electric Center is emblematic of all this and more. This makes it absolutely a great day for Jacksonville.”
The Jags are hoping the investment in the team will pay off on the field as the team is coming off a season where they won the AFC South and a playoff game.
