There are plenty reasons for optimism for the Giants during the first preseason game of the season, but there’s a lot to clean up too.
The special teams needs some work after the Giants gave up a 94-yard punt return for a touchdown. The play left Daboll very upset and giving special teams coach Thomas McGaughey a death stare on the sidelines:
There were plenty of positives with the Giants in Brian Daboll’s first season as the head coach but one of the biggest weaknesses of the team in 2022 was their special teams and it seems like things haven’t improved entering 2023 yet.
