Giants Tight End Suffered Scary ‘Medical Event’ At Practice Today

The New York Giants had a scary scene take place at practice on Wednesday when a player suffered a “medical event.” Tight end Tommy Sweeney required medical attention and was carted off the field.

Sweeney, who was rehabbing not he side during the time of the incident, was joined by head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen after experiencing the event:

The Giants’ medical team put Sweeney on a cart, shirtless, and sent him back to the locker room.

Sweeney signed a one-year deal to join the Giants in free agency this season. A native of Ramsey, New Jersey, Sweeney entered the league as a seventh-round pick of the Buffalo Bills in 2019.
