Chiefs-Jets SNF Game With Taylor Swift In Attendance Sets New Ratings Record With 29 Million Viewers

The ratings for Sunday night’s Taylor Swift public appearance where a Chiefs-Jets game broke out and it’s exactly as the NFL would have hoped – record breaking.

The Kansas City Chiefs where set to take on Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets in The Meadowlands Sunday night in a highly anticipated Week 4 match up that of course never came to fruition, but with the emergence of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship, it made for even better ratings.

The Chiefs tight end’s relationship with the pop star was made known last week when Swift showed up to the team’s SNF game at Arrowhead, but with it being known that Swift would be attending this Sunday’s game, the viewership poured in.

According to NBC, the game peaked at 29 million viewers, averaged 27 million throughout.

The game is now NBC Sports’ largest-ever streaming audience for a regular season Sunday Night Football showing.

The matchup was also football’s most watched game since February’s Super Bowl.
