It was only a matter of time before an NFL player would bring up Taylor Swift when trash-talking Travis Kelce on the field.
When the Chiefs take the field on Sunday against Minnesota, Vikings CB Byron Murphy says he plans on bringing up Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift to “get him going.”
“Oh man, the social media is going crazy,” Murphy said when asked about the league’s embrace of the Swift-Kelce storyline. “And I’m not hating against it. That’s the world we’re living in. Is she going to come to this game? We’re locked in, but that would be something. I’ve been watching her since I was a kid. That would be cool, for sure.
“Not for him, because we’re going to try to get our hands on him in front of her. I’m going too ay something to get him going.”
Swift attended the Chiefs’ game in Week 3 when they hosted the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead and then attended Sunday night’s win against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium.
No word yet if Swift will be in Minneapolis for Sunday’s game at 4:25 p.m. eastern time.
