This offseason, Tua Tagovailoa traded time on the football field for time on the mat, taking up Jiu Jitsu training in order to teach himself a new way to fall.
The Dolphins QB’s career was in jeopardy last season when he suffered back-to-back concussions after being hit, forcing the back of his head to be whipped back, impacting the turf.
The training, which has taught him to contort his body into a spin upon contact with the turf, could be seen in action Sunday during this pressure from the Panthers defense.
