BREAKING: Commanders Are Trading Montez Sweat To Chicago Bears

Nearly a year after trading a high second-round pick for Chase Claypool, the Chicago Bears have done it again.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Chicago Bears have traded their 2024 second-round pick to Washington for pass rusher Montez Sweat:

Sweat, 27, was the Commanders first round-pick in 2019 (26th overall). In his five years in Washington, Sweat has tallied 34.5 sacks. He’s scheduled to be a free agent at the conclusion of the 2023 season.
