Michigan offensive lineman Zak Zinter suffered a heartbreaking injury on Saturday against Ohio State that’ll likely end his season. During the third quarter, Zinter was carted off the field with an air cast on his left leg.
Zinter suffered the gruesome injury while in pass protection, as an Ohio State defender crashed right into his leg, bending it awkwardly.
The injury was so gruesome that FOX decided not to show the replay but fans on social media were able to get a close-up of it.
Zinter has been such an important piece of Michigan’s offense and was named a midseason All-American earlier this fall. The Wolverines lead the Buckeyes, 27-24 late in the fourth quarter as they look to pull off the big win.
