It wasn’t a good night for the Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday in the Big Ten Championship Game but it wasn’t for the lack of effort.
During the first quarter of Saturday night’s game Big Ten title game against Michigan, the Hawkeyes punted to Michigan on 4th-and-7, Hawkeyes defensive back Koen Entringer whiffed on an attempt to tackle Wolverines returner Semaj Morgan.
Entringer collected himself at the four yard line and gave an insane effort and hustle to chase down Morgan as he was streaking down the field. Nearly 90 yards later, Entringer shoved Morgan out of bounds at the Iowa 5-yard line to save a touchdown.
Here’s the clip:
The Wolverines were able to punch the ball in two plays later on a Blake Corum touchdown run and went on to beat Iowa, 23-0 but the effort by Entringer shouldn’t go unnoticed.
Iowa finished the season 10-3.
