The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered an embarrassing 24-10 loss to the 3-10 Arizona Cardinals on Sunday in a defeat that could come back and bite them in the a– at the end of the season. The Steelers entered Sunday 7-3, and in line for an AFC Wild Card spot. That’s now very much in doubt.
Late in the 4th quarter of the game and the Cardinals well on their way to a win, the Steelers got a ‘garbage time’ touchdown after Mitch Trubisky hooked up with Diontae Johnson for a score.
Johnson proceeded to get up and show his immaturity by celebrating the touchdown as if it was a game-winning touchdown.
I mean, have some self-awareness.
This latest showing of immaturity comes a week after Johnson failed to go after a fumble against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Johnson has been a problem for Pittsburgh in 2023. He’ll have just a year left on his contract this offseason. Maybe he doesn’t fit the culture of this Steelers team, after all.
