Carolina Panthers tight end Hayden Hurst has been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Amnesia by an independent neurologist stemming from a hit he took during a November 9th game against the Chicago Bears.
The diagnosis was announced by Hurst’s father, Jerry Hurst.
“Slow recovery, don’t know when he’ll be back,” he wrote. “Prayers appreciated!”

Hurst was placed in the concussion protocol after the Bears game but was practicing with a non-contact red jersey on Wednesday, according to Darin Gantt. He will not play in Sunday’s game against the Saints:
