BREAKING: Vikings Have Benched Nick Mullens And Will Start Jaren Hall vs Packers

The Vikings are making another quarterback change.

Head coach Kevin O’Connell announced Thursday that the Vikings Will bench quarterback Nick Mullens and start rookie Jaren Hall against the Green Bay packers on Sunday Night Football in Minneapolis.

“Now that he’s healthy, he’s had a great few weeks of preparation, we look forward to seeing what Jaren can do,” O’Connell told reporters.

Hall has completed 8 of his 10 passes for 101 yards in his two appearances this year. He took over at quarterback for the Vikings in Week 8 after Kick Cousins tore his achilles.

Hall started in Week 9, but sustained a concussion in the first quarter and has not played since.

The Vikings turned to Josh Dobbs following Hall’s injury and then benched Dobbs a few weeks later for Nick Mullens. Now, that Hall is healthy, the team is turning back to the rookie from BYU.
