Eagles’ Devonta Smith Left Stadium In A Walking Boot And On Crutches After Embarrassing Loss

Sunday was an absolute nightmare for the Philadelphia Eagles it and somehow just got worse.

Following the Eagles devastating 35-31 loss to the Arizona Cardinals that not only cost them the No. 1 seed in the NFC but likely the NFC East too, one of their best offensive weapons was spotted leaving Lincoln Financial Field in a walking boot and on crutches.

Omar Ruiz of NFL Network shared a photo of Devonta Smith leaving the Eagles’ game on crutches and in a walking boot on his right leg:

Smith may have suffered the injury when he served as the lead blocker for Kenneth Gainwell on a screen in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game. After the play, Smith had difficulty putting weight on his right foot, visited the sideline tent and then went to the locker room.

Prior to his exit, he hauled in three of five passes for 30 yards. It’s unclear if he’s in danger of missing any time, but the Eagles or coach Nick Sirianni likely will touch on Smith’s status this week.
