There are a lot of people that are pissed off because the Miami Dolphins vs Kansas City Chiefs AFC Wild Card game is being shown exclusively on NBC’s streaming service, Peacock.
That includes Chiefs defensive end Charles Omenihu and he’s doing something about it.
After voicing his displeasure about the game being broadcasted elusively on a streaming service that will require fans to pay an additional fee to watch the game, Omenihu decided to give memberships to Peacock to Chiefs fans.
This kind gesture will cost Omenihu around $1,500.
Last May, NBC Universal and the NFL agreed to a one-year deal worth roughly $110 million that gave Peacock exclusive rights to broadcast the Saturday 8 p.m. game on wild-card weekend.
This year will be the first in which an NFL playoff game is only available on a streaming service—the sole exception is that fans in Kansas City and Miami can watch the game for free on their local NBC affiliates.
