The San Francisco 49ers are getting ready to play in Super Bowl 58 in Las Vegas but the week leading up to the big game hasn’t been easy.
First, the team had to deal with a “soft practice” field earlier this week at UNLV, then the fire alarm went off at their team hotel at around six in the morning.
The team’s star running back – Christian McCaffrey – was asked about these issues the team has faced, and he clearly doesn’t think the fire alarm incident was an “accident.”
“As soon as the fire alarm went off, I just laughed,” McCaffrey said. “Of course this would happen, you know what I mean? Is it random? No, there’s no way.”
McCaffrey thinks that someone deliberately pulled the alarm:
McCaffrey thinks this way because, as he mentioned in the clip, anytime the team plays away from home, they’ve faced some sort of adversity.
McCaffrey added that he wasn’t going to let a bad practice field or a fire alarm prank deter him from the goal of winning a Super Bowl.
Super Bowl LVIII will kickoff on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET on CBS. Let’s hope the Niners don’t run into any other unfortunate situations.
