
KGKC Telemundo Kansas City is mourning the loss of one of its sports anchors who died while in New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX.
Adan Manzano, 27, died on Wednesday in New Orleans while on assignment to cover the Super Bowl for both Telemundo Kansas City and Tico Sports, KGKC said in a news release.
On Friday, it was reported that an arrest was made in connection tot he death of Manzano. According to reports, the 27-year-old was found dead in his hotel room in Kenner Louisiana on Wednesday. On
Thursday, the Kenner Police Department said that Danette Colbert of Slidell, Louisiana, had been arrested after she was found allegedly using Manzano’s credit card at multiple stores. She was also allegedly seen leaving his hotel room on surveillance footage.
She is currently facing charges including property crimes and fraud and theft-related offenses. Colbert reportedly has a prior record allegedly drugging men, theft of currency, fraudulent use of credit and debit cards, and other financial crimes.
The investigation remains ongoing.
