Raheem Morris Said He Wouldn’t Be The Coach Of Falcons If They Had Better QB Play Last Year

Raheem Morris gave his brutally honest assessment of the Atlanta Falcons current quarterback situation with no-regard for anyone’s feelings.

“If we had better quarterback play, I’m probably not standing here at this podium,” Morris said.

Morris was hired after the team fired head coach Arthur Smith and basically made it clear that Atlanta plans on bringing in a new quarterback. The Falcons used both Taylor Heinicke and Desmond Ridder as a starting quarterback lats year, finishing with a 7-10 record last season.

Ridder struggled, throwing for 2,836 yards and 12 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 15 games. Heinicke wasn’t much better, throwing for 890 yards and five touchdowns to four interceptions. Under Ridder, the team was 6-7 and under Heinicke, they were 1-3.
