Kansas City Chiefs fans who sucked it up and attended the playoff game against the Miami Dolphins in subzero temperatures during the 2023 Playoffs on January 13th could possibly need to have amputations after suffering frostbite.

According to FOX 4 News Kansas City, 70% of the patients admitted due to frostbite during the extreme cold weather had been advised to undergo amputation.

“The patients who had their frostbite injuries along with the Chiefs game, they are just getting to the point now we are starting to discuss their amputations that might be necessary,” said Dr. Megan Garcia, the Medical Director at the Grossman Burn Center.
