New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas took to Twitter/X to slam Jeff Duncan of The Times-Picayune on Thursday afternoon after Duncan reported the team intends to release the veteran wide receiver.
Thomas called Duncan a “h–“, accusing him of trying to “stay relevant.” He went on to throw shade at the Saints, saying they “leak information” to Duncan to “ruin players value.”
Here was Thomas’ full Twitter/X rant:
The 31-year-old Thomas was once of the best wide receivers in the NFL but injuries have derailed a once promising career. Since setting the NFL’s single season record for catches (149) in 2019, Thomas has played in just 20 games. This past season, he started in seven of the 10 games he played in, tallying just 448 yards on 39 yards to go along with one touchdown.
While the Saints have yet to announce Thomas’ release, it seems like his time in New Orleans is over.
