Aaron Jones Signs With Vikings One Day After Being Released By Packers

Aaron Jones is staying in the NFC North.

One day after he was released by the Green Bay Packers, Jones is expected to sing with the Minnesota Vikings on a one-year deal worth $7 million, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.

The Packers released Jones after they agreed to terms with Josh Jacobs. They approached Jones about potentially taking a pay cut, but Jones declined.

When healthy, Jones remains one of the better back sin the NFL. Jones tallied over 1,000 yards from scrimmage from 2019-2022 but injuries slowed him down in 2023 as the back earned just 656 rushing yards to go along with 233 receiving yards and three total touchdowns in 11 games.

Jones heads to the Twin Cities and immediately becomes the Viks’ lead back in 2024. Minnesota recently ut Alexander Mattison.
