C.J. Gardner-Johnson is returning to the City of Brotherly Love.
After spending one year with the Detroit Lions, Gardner-Johnson has agreed to a three-year contract worth up to $33 million with the Philadelphia Eagles, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
C.J. appeared in just three regular-season games for the Detroit Lions in 2023 after he tore his pectoral muscle early in training camp. He posted just 17 tackles and an interception. He played in all three Lions’ postseason games, however, wasn’t as effective, notching just 12 tackles, an interception and a pass breakup.
His best time was with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022, posting an NFL-leading six interceptions in just 12 games after being traded from the Saints.
