Deebo Samuel is officially changing his jersey number.
After wearing No. 19 for the first five years of his NFL career, Samuel will change his number to No. 1, the number he wore in college at South Carolina.
The number change will also come with a slight change to the name on the back of his jersey as well. Instead of just “Samuel” spread across the back of the shoulders, his name plate will now read “Samuel Sr.”
