The Los Angeles Chargers are currently in cap hell as they sit $25 million over the salary cap threshold and because of that the team has to make some difficult decisions.
The first of those difficult decisions has been made as the team has released WR Mike Williams, who was set to count $32 million against the salary cap.
The team is also having conversations with defensive end Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack.
The 29-year-old Williams was selected No. 7 overall by the Chargers in the 2017 NFL Draft. The Chargers signed the Clemson product to a three-year, $60 million extension with the Chargers in 2022.
Williams is expected to have a robust market.
