REPORT: Chase Young Is Signing With The New Orleans Saints

Chase Young plans to sign a one-year deal worth $13 million (fully guaranteed) with the New Orleans Saints, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Jeremy Fowler.

Young was traded to the 49ers from the Washington Commanders this past season and was set to be a free agent. After visiting New Orleans on Monday, Young decided to sign.

The 49ers acquired Young at the trade deadline, sending a compensatory third-round pick to Washington to bolster their talent at edge rusher for the stretch run that went all the way to Super Bowl 58.

Young, who’s still just 24, tied a career-high with 7.5 sacks, adding 25 tackles and 41 pressures in 2023.
