Dak Prescott Hints At Leaving The Cowboys: “Other Great QBs Have Played For Other Teams”

The biggest question at the start of training camp for the Dallas Cowboys is the future of Dak Prescott, who is entering the final year of his contract.

Prescott discussed the contract situation on Thursday, saying he wants to remain in Dallas but pointed out that “all other great quarterbacks have played for other teams.”

Dak also said that he is “free” in thinking about playing elsewhere even though he prefers to remain with the only NFL team he has ever known.

The quarterback may be the biggest long-term question mark for the Cowboys, but he is far from the only one.

Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and head coach Mike McCarthy are each entering the final year of their contracts, as well. Lamb is currently holding out and is seeking a contract that will make him the highest paid receiver in the league. But that’s not all, star pass rusher Micah Parsons is signed through 2025 and will likely also be looking for his big contract.

An interesting season ahead in Dallas.
