REPORT: Justin Simmons Is Signing With The Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons defense has gotten a lot better over the last 48 hours.

According to multiple reports, the Falcons have agreed to a one-year, $8 million contract with safety Justin Simmons.

The Simmons deal comes one day after the Falcons acquired star pass-rusher Matthew Judon from the New England Patriots.

Simmons, 30, played his first eight seasons in the league with the Denver Broncos, who released him in March. He had nine interceptions over the past two seasons and was considered the top remaining safety on the free agent wire. Simmons is a four-time second-team All-Pro selection.

Since Simmons entered the league in 2016, his 30 interceptions is more than any other player has.
