Officer Involved In Arresting Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill Placed On Administrative Leave

On a day where Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and a handful of other rookies were making their NFL debuts, Tyreek Hill was somehow the talk of the morning of the NFL’s opening Sunday.

The star WR was pulled over just outside Hard Rock Stadium for reckless driving, but somehow ended up on the ground having to be restrained with handcuffs – all in front of on-looking Dolphins fans probably incredibly confused.

Hill wasn’t even the only Dolphin to be detained, with new ‘Phin Calais Campbell also being put into cuffs after he pulled over to investigate what the issue was.

Fans noticed from a bystander video that one cop was being seemingly overly aggressive with Hill, throwing him to the ground despite Hill being stationary and cuffed.

It’s not certain at this time if this officer in the video is the officer in question, but the Miami Dade Police Department has placed one officer on administrative leave following the incident.

Hill, who put up 130 yards with an 80-yard TD (following by a celebration mocking the incident) noted in his postgame interview that he still has “no idea” why he was detained following the stop.
