Brandon Aiyuk’s offseason was filled with drama as he was locked in a contract dispute with the San Francisco 49ers that had him holding out of training camp but he eventually agreed to a contract a week before the season and was active for tonight’s season opener against the New York Jets on Monday Night Football.
During the second quarter of the game, Aiyuk dropped a touchdown pass off a great throw by Brock Purdy. The drop got Peyton Manning fired up on the Manning Cast and the legendary quarterback shared his thoughts on Aiyuk’s decision to hold out of camp.
“Get those contracts done earlier so we can get in training camp and we don’t drop balls on opening night,” Peyton said.
