Things for the New York Giants have been bad and they somehow just got worst.
The New York Giants dropped their seventh straight loss on Thanksgiving, falling to the Dallas Cowboys, 27-20 at AT&T Stadium. They also lost star defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence to an elbow injury and the early prognosis onset good.
Lawrence left the game in the third quarter and did not return. He knew immediately it wasn’t good. After the game, Lawrence told reporters that he disclosed his elbow.
Lawrence will undergo further testing.
He had recorded three total tackles, two of which were solo, prior to exiting in the third quarter.
New York was down 20-10 at the time of the injury. That deficit would grow to 27-10 at the end of the third quarter and the team would eventually fall 27-20.
Lawrence was a first-round pick in 2019 and has missed just two games in his career. He has 44 tackles, 16 quarterback hits and a career-high nine sacks thus far in 2024.
