The New York Jets have a new head coach.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the New York Jets are hiring Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn as their next head coach.
Glenn, a former first-round draft pick of the Jets in 1994, was a former personnel scout for the team from 2012-13, now is the team’s head coach.
Glenn, 52, is one of the top candidates on the market this offseason. Once the Lions were eliminated from the playoffs last weekend, it freed Glenn and offensive coordinator Ben Johnson up to interview in-person with interested teams. Johnson took the Bears job yesterday and now Glenn heads to the Jets.
