The Pittsburgh Steelers don’t seem to be done trying to add wide receivers.
According to DK Pittsburgh Sports’ Chris Halicke, the Steelers have reached out to the Washington Commanders to inquire about trading for Terry McLaurin, who requested a trade from Washington last week.
The report by DK Pittsburgh Sports indicated the Steelers trading for McLaurin appears to be unlikely. This could be the Commanders standing their ground on retaining McLaurin one last season.
It’s been an eventful offseason for the Steelers, who signed Aaron Rodgers, traded for DK Metcalf and traded George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys. They seem to be all-in for one year with Rodgers’ at the helm and want to maximize that window as much as possible, including trading for another star wide out.
McLaurin came into the league in 2019 after being drafted in the third-round. Washington signed him to a three-year extension in 2022 worth $68.2 million.
The former Ohio State Buckeye has eclipsed 1000 receiving yards every year after his rookie season. He was an intricate part of Jayden Daniels success last year that helped the Washington Commanders reach the NFC Championship Game.
