The Indianapolis Colts have reportedly made their decision at quarterback.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Colts have named Daniel Jones as their starting quarterback with Anthony Richardson serving as his backup to start the season.
Following the end of the 2024 season, Colts general manager Chris Ballard said the team would hold an open competition for the starting quarterback role, aiming to bring in competition to push Anthony Richardson.
In free agency, the team signed Daniel Jones to a one-year, $14 million deal and after a battle throughout training camp, Jones is now the winner and Richardson, the former No. 4 overall pick will server as the backup.
The Colts open the season Sept. 7 at home against the Miami Dolphins.
