Chiefs’ Chris Jones Says Lamar Jackson Should’ve Won 2024 NFL MVP Award Over Josh Allen

Chris Jones doesn’t have a vote in the MVP Award but if he did, the 2024 NFL MVP would be Lamar Jackson and not Josh Allen.

Ahead of Sunday’s AFC showdown between the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs, Jones proclaimed that he believed Lamar Jackson should’ve won MVP last year.

“Over the years, you look at how prolific as a passer he’s become — I think he’s completing 70 percent of his passes. I think he should’ve won MVP last year. Have so much respect for him.”

Despite the Ravens 1-2 start, Jackson is still putting up some insane numbers. Jackson has nine touchdown passes, which leads the league while his 722 passing yards are good for 10th among starting quarterbacks.

Jackson can also run the ball, and he has 118 yards and one touchdown on the ground thus far.

Sunday’s matchup is huge for both teams as the loser will fall to 1-3 on the season. Since 1990, just 15% of NFL teams that start a season with a 1-3 record make the playoffs.

Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m. ET.
