Facing a 4th and 5 in the red zone, Curt Cignetti decided to keep his offense on the field and go for it, instead of kicking the field goal. Indiana called the number of their Heisman Trophy winning quarterback and he delivered, running in it in for a touchdown while breaking multiple tackles and take a vicious hit as he leaped into the end zone.
The touchdown put the Hoosiers up 24-14 with 9 minutes remaining in the game.
