The NFC South just got a bit more spicy.
Kevin Stefanski is now the new head coach of the Atlanta Falcons where he will take on his former quarterback in Cleveland, Baker Mayfield, twice a year.
Ahead of his introductory press conference that’s scheduled for next week, Falcons beat writer D. Orland Ledbetter summarized Stefanski’s situation in Cleveland by calling his quarterback situation “a dumpster fire” where both “Mayfield and Deshaun Watson failed.”
This led to Mayfield to hop on social media and respond: “Failed is quite the reach pal. Still waiting on a text/call from him after I got shipped off like a piece of garbage. Can’t wait to see you twice a year, Coach.”
Mayfield has since resurrected his career in Tampa but it’s clear he still holds a grudge against his former team and Stefanski isn’t excluded from that.
