Cam Newton Responds To The Criticism Of Walking Out On Super Bowl Press Conference

Cam Newton has faced a lot of heat after  when he abruptly got up and walked out of his press conference after the Carolina Panthers lost Super Bowl 50 to the Denver Broncos, 24-10.

On Tuesday, the league-MVP faced the media for the first time since then and he admitted he’s a “sore loser” and has “no regrets” for what transpired during the press conference.

“I’ve been on record to say I’m a sore loser, Who likes to lose? you show me a good loser and I’m going to show you a loser. It’s not a popularity contest. I’m here to win football games. But I know who I am and I’m not about to conform nor bend for anybody’s expectations because your or anybody else’s expectations will never exceed mine.”

My favorite part of Cam’s season ending press conference was him responding to the perception people have on him:

Cam Newton was also asked about the play where he didn’t dive for the ball after he striped: “I didn’t dive for one fumble, because the way my leg was, it could have been contorted in a way, you saw my effort.”
