Lions Trade Matt Stafford To Rams For QB Jared Goff

It was revealed last week that Matt Stafford was happy no longer in Detroit and had mutually agreed with the Lions to part ways.

Not too long later, and a deal has been done.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Lions have traded Stafford to the LA Rams in exchange for Jared Goff as picks. Those picks include two future first rounders as well as a third rounder.

Detroit is dealing QB Matthew Stafford to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for two future first-round picks, a third-round pick and QB Jared Goff, per sources. Two former No. 1 overall picks trading places in the first blockbuster NFL trade of 2021.

Goff is now out as Rams QB despite a Super Bowl appearance just two years ago.
