The Rams have a QB they believe has the potential to put them over the top for the new few seasons to come, but if they had it their way, another NFC North QB would be under center in Los Angeles.
The Rams traded for Lions QB Matt Stafford yesterday, shipping off two first round picks and a third rounder along with Jared Goff. But according to the LA Times, the team made a run at Aaron Rodgers before settling with Stafford.
Undoubtably, the asking price for Rodgers was simply too high with the 37-year old coming off his likely-MVP season and near trip to another Super Bowl. The Packers reportedly want to retain Rodgers unless the offer is overwhelming.
