Drew Brees Gives Major Props To Jameis Winston: “I Guess This Is What The Saints Have Been Missing”

The New Orleans Saints entered the 2021 season with a new quarterback under center for the first time since 2006 as Jameis Winston replaced legendary quarterback Drew Brees, who retired this past offseason.

Brees, who has moved onto a television career with NBC sat and watched Winston and the Saints light up the Green Bay Packers, 38-3, with Winston throwing for 148 yards and five touchdowns.

When going over the highlights of the game of a Winston deep ball, Brees hilariously said “this is what the Saints have been missing”:

While Brees was one of the most accurate passers in the history of the NFL, arm strength wasn’t his greatest attribute at the end of his career. Most of his completions were short and intermediate passes.
