DK Metcalf Rips Off Teammates Helmet And Swings It At Him During Training Camp Practice

We’ve already seen several fights among NFL teams at training camp this season but DK Metcalf took it to the next level on Wednesday.

During a segment at Seattle’s training camp, NFL Network cameras captured part of a brawl between Seahawks players on the field.

Seahawks star receiver DK Metcalf appeared to channel his inner-Myles Garret by swinging a helmet at one of his teammates’ heads. Other teammates eventually restrained Metcalf, keeping him from doing further damage with his helmet.

Metcalf’s inability to control his emotions has hurt Seattle on the field, leading to several penalties during his career. Last year, he was ejected from a game against the San Francisco 49ers after pushing 49ers defensive back Deommodore Lenoir.

Unfortunately, it seems that the issues have lasted into the offseason and they’re now affecting his teammates.

Metcalf’s use of a helmet as a weapon may be the most egregious example, but there have been multiple fights in the NFL this offseason.

The New York Giants and Detroit Lions have both been fined $200K for multiple fights at joint practices this week, and the Cowboys and Bengals have also had dust-ups ahead of their preseason debuts.

We’ll see if the Seahawks decide to administer any discipline to Metcalf after his actions were seen on national television on Wednesday.
