Giants’ James Hudson Benched After Being Penalized Four Times On Drive vs Cowboys

James Hudson might have just put together the worst drive by an NFL offensive lineman in NFL history.

Hudson is the team’s starting left tackle as they await the return of Andrew Thomas and he started the game by committing four penalties on one drive, as the Giants put together an impressive opening drive.

The worst was a post-play personal foul in which he just didn’t stop shoving his opponent on the ground.

On the very next play, Hudson false started by a mile. He was multiple steps into the defense and the ball wasn’t even snapped.

Giants coach Brian Daboll was shown on the sideline visibly upset, but New York simply didn’t have much offensive line depth to make a change.

Fox color commentator Greg Olson said someone would have to talk to Hudson on the sideline and try to help him catch his breath.

Ultimately the team benched Hudson for rookie Marcus Mbow. Hudson was called for two false-starts and two 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalties.

The Giants lead the Cowboys, 6-3.
