Arizona Cardinals rookie offensive lineman Chase Bisontis tore his left MCL during Thursday night’s preaseaon game against the Las Vegas Raiders and is expected to miss the entire season, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reports.
A Raiders defensive lineman fell into the side of Bisontis’ left knee in the third quarter on Thursday night, and he was carted to the training room.
It’s a tough blow for Arizona’s offense as Bisontis was making up ground in the starting right guard competition with Isaiah Adams.
The rookie put together an impressive Hall of Fame game showing and was looking to stack games before going down.
With Bisontis to miss significant time, Adams looks like a lock for the right guard spot.
As for the depth behind him, Hayden Conner and Jon Gaines II figure to be the next men up with Bisontis sidelined.
