After 13 seasons, the Tony Romo era in Dallas has come to an end.

The career Cowboys quarterback who was drafted back in 2003 by Jerry Jones will reportedly be released by Jerry on Thursday.

The move comes after months of speculation around what exactly the organization would do with Romo, whether it would be a trading him or releasing him.

Presumably no teams were willing to give up assets in order to trade for Romo with the likely of him leaving Dallas anyway so eminent.

The Cowboys will of course move forward with their young star QB in Dak Prescott, who played so well during his rookie season in lieu of Romo’s preseason injury, Romo only say the field for one possession all last season.
