Chad Ochocinco is back in the NFL – but this time not as a player.
The Cleveland Browns have hired the former receiver as an assistant wide receivers coach for training camp after seemingly simply asking for it on Twitter.
Johnson took to tweeting to reach Browns current head coach Hue Jackson, formerly Johnson’s coach when he played for the Cincinnati Bengals, and it clearly worked.
Ochocinco says that he will be in Cleveland on July 28th and has plans to turn this temporary gig into something more permanent, stating, “I’m not leaving!”
How do you think the charismatic former player will do as a coach?
Gonna ask Hue if I can join the Browns coaching staff as a “route running specialist” assistant receiver coach, what’s the worse he can say.

@Browns Can you ask Hue if I can come in & work with the receivers, thanks.

I wasn’t even allowed in the locker room when I came back, I doubt I’m welcome as a coach. https://t.co/0Jj8F0fX0B

Not the best look when your WR’s coach may be the best WR on your team. Leave it to the Browns.
