Just when you thought 2020 couldn’t throw anymore at us, we now have Saints fans burning Drew Brees jerseys.
The New Orleans legend finds himself in a pickle after making comments during an interview Wednesday saying he could never agree with someone who kneels during the anthem…of course terrible timing considering the recent events in the Unites States of racism and police brutality – the two very things kneeling was supposed to bring awareness to.
Not only have notable Saints teammates and other athletes and figures around the sports word turned on Brees, but some fans have to.
On the same night where protestors in New Orleans walked the streets chanting his name in shame, some folks have even gone as far as to burn their #9 jerseys.

Others opted to simply throw them away.
I’ve been a huge @drewbrees fan since before I can even remember but it took me 0.05 seconds to be done. @Saints get your boy in line or find a new QB because #DrewBreesIsCancelled pic.twitter.com/Dzc1wFiVPw
