With the Warriors down three games to one, Kevin Durant returned to the lineup in Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals after suffering a calf injury in Game 5 of the second round against the Houston Rockets.
He would only last a quarter and a half.
While planting prior to a drive in the second quarter of Monday night’s game, Durant re-injured his calf, falling to the ground and immediately going back to the locker room.

Slow motion replay of the injury shows just how bad it is, with the rupture of Durant’s achilles creating a pop and recoil visible through his skin and even leggings on slow motion replay.
Wow. That doesn’t look good at all. Durant’s calf area looks to pop. pic.twitter.com/ZGGFIRlveo

Warriors owner Bob Meyers updated the media following the game and said it was Durants achilles that was injured.
